about good web design
your web site should .....
reflect who you are
A web site should reflect who you are and be most effective for your specific needs. A good designer should be able to put themselves in the shoes of each client to help determine the most effective colors, layout, mood, content, etc. to include on the website.
make a good impression
Just as you want to make a good impression with your physical appearance, your web site should make a good first impression on your clients. Many people make purchasing decisions based on their impressions of a businesses web site.
be user friendly
A web site that has all the bells and whistles can look great, but can also be confusing and time consuming to users, thus is a waste of money. User friendliness is a top priority at Redhawk!
be search engine friendly
As wonderful as your web site may be, if no one can find it using Google, Yahoo, or other search engines you’re just not going to see the results you are hoping for. Redhawk incorporates various web standards and good programming practices in order to make your site as easy for Yahoo and Google to read as possible.
function correctly for everyone
There are a wide variety of types of web browsers and computers that your potential clients are using. We are firm believers and dedicated to ensuring your web site functions properly (and as identically as possible) whether your clients are using a Macintosh or Windows. We also ensure that your website functions correctly using the most popular Web Browsers such as Microsoft Windows Explorer, FireFox, Safari and Netscape.
be easy to maintain and expand in the future
Once you’ve made the initial investment in your web site, it’s important to keep it up to date and to expand it as your business grows. Redhawk understands the importance of providing a web site that is easy to keep up to date and that will be cost efficient to expand as time goes by.
about me - lee carter
After achieving the Certificate IV in Electronic Publishing in 1998 I worked for Gemcraft Books in Burwood where I performed many duties, one of which was graphic design preparing the monthly newsletter, advertising flyers and pricing catalogue.
2001 I moved into a slightly different role in accounts, but my creative skills were still utilised in designing sales brochures and IT skills in assisting in the modification on the Access database. Next was a move back into graphic design working for The Blue Dandenong Bulb Farm in 2003 producing their mail order catalogues and various print media. After two years and the internet becoming more predominant, I decided that I wanted to branch out with my skills and enter the world of the internet and multimedia
2005-6 saw me entering the world of study where I undertook a 2-year Diploma of IT (Multimedia Integration). Nearing the end of the Diploma, I worked for a chemical company in Preston as their graphic designer, and more recently employed with a medical products company in Ringwood as their Graphic & Web Designer. |
